Art direction for the entire visual universe surrounding the release of Holdo’s debut EP “≈.”
The ICon stems from a investiation into the unique aestethic universe of electronic music, and especially the overlapping of organic versus electronic, when working with samples. it is almost and as if, which is exactly what the sign ≈ means.THE ICON also evokes the shape of a wave. With water also being at the center of our visual universe, this played right into our vision and narrative.
We combined different mediums, from stills shot on an iPhone to AI-generated visual assets, to create a complete visual language—all centered around the idea of “electronic ≈ organic.”
The meeting point between technology and nature influences every visual choice. It’s not just about aesthetics, but about curating an experience that mirrors the sound of the EP, blending the synthetic with the natural in unexpected ways.
